2022 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid Models for Sale at Parkway Toyota

At Parkway Toyota in Englewood Cliffs, we provide various new inventory, and the Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid are among the new models. These Toyota models are similar in many ways, including standard features and various styling elements, from the interior to the exterior. However, you will have to check out the non-hybrid Toyota Highlander for more accelerating power.

With the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, you will get a four-cylinder engine that adds two electric motors to produce a combined horsepower of 243. A continuously variable transmission accompanies the hybrid setup. On the other hand, the non-hybrid Toyota Highlander features a V6 engine producing 295 horsepower paired with an eight-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard in both engines, and all-wheel drive is optional.

Both SUVs at Parkway Toyota are fuel-efficient. They also deliver composed handling when cruising through town, where you will find meandering roads. The agility of their handling comes from an excellent braking system and responsive steering wheels. These two Toyota vehicles can glide over easily due to their impressive ground clearance and massive wheels.

The towing capacity differs - the Toyota Highlander Hybrid has an estimated towing capacity of 3,500 pounds, whereas the non-hybrid Toyota Highlander pulls 5,000 pounds.

Interior Design

The interiors of both vehicles feature similar elements. Both Toyota SUVs come with cloth seat trim, seatback storage pockets, interior lighting, cargo space lights, air filtration, and floor covering. For a more upscale feel, both models offer an option of getting more convenient features, such as leather-appointed seats, interior wood trim, heated and ventilated seats, and a heated steering wheel. The new Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid can seat up to eight people, but the capacity will reduce to seven when you opt for the second-row captain's chair. Ample legroom and headroom accompany each row, except the third row, which is well-suited for teenagers and kids. The cargo area is also the same, with both models offering 16 cubic feet of space and 48 cubic feet with the third-row seats folded.

On the tech part, both Toyota Highlander models provide a standard 8-inch touchscreen and an optional 12.3-inch touchscreen. Both touchscreens are user-friendly due to their straightforward menus. Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, satellite radio, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot are provided on both touchscreens. Both vehicles also offer an audio system with numerous speakers, automatic climate control, and push-button start. Wireless device charging, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror are only provided in the non-hybrid Toyota Highlander. Overall, each vehicle is equipped with a well-tuned infotainment system.

Exterior Design

The new Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid at Parkway Toyota come with striking exterior appearances. Their front fascias manifest a black grille in chrome surround for the upper trims and silver-painted surround for the lower trims. Both SUVs' headlights and brake lights are LED. Both Toyota models have rain-detecting windshield wipers, tinted window glass, galvanized steel panels, and a rear spoiler. Lower trims get 18-inch wheels, whereas higher trims get 20-inch wheels.
